CAT

Small update today showing off the main tool used in the game!

CAT is the Cosmonaut Assistance Tool that is mainly used for a variety of maintenance jobs but can also be used to potentially defend yourself!

It comes with a full colour screen viewed from the back to really help the user when doing those small tricky jobs! 3.5″ Disk drive for software updates and two Lithium-Ion Batteries slots!

Here are 2 images of tool in UDK:

More updates coming soon, we are working heavily towards a teaser video for the Develop conference in Brighton on the 12th of July!

Thanks

Routine update

There have been some great advancements here at Lunar Software, mainly that its gone from a single man team to a 3 man team! we also took a month or two out to do art for Exstatic that I showed recently! but as usual I manage to fail on updating the site on a regular basis, so here is a small update showing the player in our Tram environment!

The game is in first person, but until we polish up the HUD a bit more I will probably keep it as an external camera. Plus I thought it would be nice to see the character that you play! 🙂

I will do a post soon on working with freelancers as the character shown here was designed by me but modelled by a freelance artist and I did learn a lot on how to best communicate your design/idea to someone not directly on the team.

And for anyone interested here is a link to the fantastic character artist  >>Rashad Foux<< I absolutely recommend him, as it was a huge pleasure to work with Rashad.

More updates coming very soon as we all work towards Develop Conference in July!

Thanks

Exstatic!

Hey guys!

It has been a while since our last update! but for good reason, we have managed to meet a super talented new programmer that will be joining us on Routine! His name is Pete and he is from the UK, he has a game of his own that was almost finished! but needed art, so in exchange for his coding expertise we did the art for his game ‘Exstatic‘ it was kind of like a trade of skill sets!

This week we have switched back to working on Routine full time! as the art for Exstatic is DONE! and when I say “we” I should mention that there is one other new team member at Lunar Software, Jemma! she is fairly new to the whole game art world! but learning EXTREMELY FAST! hopefully very soon she will be sharing some of the work she has done on Routine so far!

We will update soon with a bit of Routine related work! but for now i will let you guys see some of the work we did on Exstatic!

There is more work that we did on Exstatic over at Polycount if you want to see more!

I hope this is ok for now! and I am sorry for the lack of updates! I promise to try and keep updating as often as possible! as we have some exciting new things happening soon!

routine

Hey everyone! we are finally getting around to making the first news post for our game Routine after a hectic week at Develop conference and a few bits of freelance work to sort out!

Routine is a roguelike inspired atmospheric first person horror game set on an abandoned moon base, saying that we are inspired by the roguelike genre can mean many different things and I will go into that at some point but for now I will just say IT IS NOT TURN BASED!

It will be a commercial game made with UDK set for release on PC, and now that we have gone public I will be updating the sites as much as I can (without hindering development too much of course) to keep you guys informed and up to date with the development progress!

To get you guys a bit more interesting here are a few bits of concept art and in game shots! (more media in the games section)

Please Follow and don’t hesitate to get in contact with us if you want to know more!

I also have a personal site that was once my portfolio, head on over to www.razorb-art.com if you would like to see some of my past work.

Thank you!
